Name: Michael Kagan

Job title: Search consultant for the psychiatry team at CompHealth permanent placement in Norwalk, Conn.

Years with CHG: 2

What is your favorite part about working at CHG? I love the fact that CHG has such a collaborative team environment here and that everyone is always willing to help and support you — which, in my experience, is very unusual for a staffing company.

What one story best describes your experience at CHG? When I went on vacation, my team assisted with my book of business and helped push along some pending offers that I wasn’t able to get to since I had a lack of phone service. Everyone stepped up when I wasn’t able to and helped to close two offers. This just goes along with the congenial team environment that CHG has to offer.

If someone asked you what you do, how would you answer them? I would tell them I work for a great company that lives true to its motto, “Putting People First!”

Why did you choose to work at CHG? Because of everyone I initially interviewed with and how happy everyone seemed to be in the office. The energy that I saw was contagious, and it made my decision to join CHG that much easier.

What is your favorite event that you have participated in at CHG and why? I would have to say The Amazing Race, which was run by Rachel Gober from CHG’s training department. Everyone got involved, and it was a great team-building experience.

What is your favorite core value at CHG? It has to be Putting People First. This exemplifies everything that CHG is about.

If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? Filet mignon and mashed sweet potatoes.

What five things would you take to a deserted island? A Leatherman, XM radio with solar batteries, crates of Zatarains’ cajun spice, the complete works of William Shakespeare and a lifetime supply of Mach III razors and shaving cream.

In a movie about your life, who would you choose to star as you? Matt Damon.
