cbd-vert-200.jpgAs they say, “everything is bigger in Texas,” and CHG’s Spring Swing golf invitational, held on April 27 in Grapevine, Texas, garnered some big wins!

The purpose of the tournament is to reach out to hospital systems and build new relationships. This year, we connected with more potential clients than ever before and raised big money for a local charity.

Giving back before golfing

Many of our people arrived the night before the golf tournament so they could make a difference to Family Gateway, a nonprofit that houses homeless children and their families. They sponsored a party, where more than 30 kids enjoyed pizza, ice cream and piñatas while making new friends.

“I cannot express in words how much it meant to our precious children and their families having your group spend one-on-one time with them,” says Kathy Kidwell, director of community engagement at Family Gateway. “From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.”

Teeing up with clients

Despite severe-weather forecasts, the next day dawned bright, and 61 golfers — including 45 potential clients — split into teams. CompHealth, Weatherby Healthcare and RNnetwork each sponsored a hole, where they hosted competitions, gave away prizes and connected with clients.

“The advantage of having a CHG-wide client-focused event is to build internal partnerships among the brand and continue to foster alignment among the divisions,” says Rick Barker, senior director of CHG’s corporate sales division. “Dallas is the headquarters of some of our largest clients and competitors, so an executive invitational is a critical CHG brand strategy.”

Doubling success

The tournament was a smashing success. We established relationships and built a solid foundation for future business. And as a bonus, we raised $2,500 for Family Gateway.

“Your donation will make it possible for us to provide housing and deliver life-changing services to the families we serve,” Kathy says.
